Lance and Johnny

I wonder if a close look at what pals Lance Burton and Johnny Thompson are having for dessert offers any insight into the differences between them.

Lee Asher and Jon Stetson

At the 100th S.A.M. convention in NYC, with pals Lee Asher and Jon Stetson. Lee is one of the finest and most inventive sleight-of-hand guys I know. Jon, from Boston, is one of the busiest and best professional magicians working in corporate circles today, and frequently appears at Monday Night Magic.

At the 100th S.A.M. convention in NYC in 2002, friend and sleight-of-hand master Howie Schwarzman introduced me to none other than Oscar Weigle, who, among many other accomplishments, recently wrote the introduction to Paul Curry's Worlds Beyond by Stephen Minch.

Tel-Aviv

In December of 2000 I performed, lectured, and taught an intensive seminar at a magic convention in Tel Aviv, Israel. I had a grand time and met some terrific magicians, many of whom attended this workshop. Two of the best are seated closest to the camera: on the left, Ori Ashkenazy; on the right, Amir Lustig. Also, Asi Wind — can you find him?
